Speaking of Food. . .

Oh you weren’t? Yeah well my stomach is and I lost the volume control on it ages ago. It must be nearing the end of the day. I don't need a clock anymore my stomach tells me what time it is. I really haven't been having any one craving over another. Just random stuff lately. Like last nights desire for potatoes. I didn't care in what form they came I just wanted potatoes. So I connived Jason into taking us to Outback since I also wanted one of their baked potatoes and their veggies. Our Fridge tends to turn fresh foods into mush much faster than I would like (or we just don't go there often enough to eat what we have while it is still fresh). Besides I like the way Outback makes their veggies and no other restaurant makes them quite as good. I don't like how sometimes I am really hungry but not craving anything in particular so I have to be the one to try and ponder what to eat. I really like it when the cravings are the decisive one for once. Mmmmm. So Hungry, but then you couldn't tell that now could you? In other news Christmas was really nice. I got a lot of gifts that are geared towards the pregnancy, but then that was to be expected. Jason's and my favorite is the little soft-stuffed frog baby rattle. It is now sitting next to the rubber duckie. We also got a cute Scrapbooked photo album which we are really looking forward to filling. All is well (so far) in Pregnancyland.

Twas the Eve before the Eve of Giftmas

Today was the first of a four-day weekend. I went to the ObGyn for my first of many visits for the pregnancy. I am officially 9 weeks and 3 days. I am happy to report no morning sickness! But I believe I have gained more weight than I really need to, so on Monday I am planning on "stepping-it-up a notch" and excercising more regularly. This of course is easier said than done. Also today marks 5 months! Only 7 more and then we will have hit a year and interestingly enough we will be parents too! Woo Whoo :) So Merry Christmas!

Suprise!

With only 6 days left until Christmas, affectionately known as "Giftmas" in the Kohles household, I figured it was time for an update to our site. We have left you two readers on baited hook for too long. Our big news is that our family is growing by two feet this July/August - I'm Pregnant! Jason and I are very excited. Now our number one goal is to get a new home, and quick! Unfortunately, my childhood asthma has come back with a vengeance and I get to be one of the 1/3rd of woman whose asthma gets worse during pregnancy. I am getting it treated by an Allergist. And she will monitor me closely to make sure that her treatment is effective. So far it has been working very well. This Friday will be the first big appointment with the Obgyn. Apparently it will be the longest appointment for the duration of the whole pregnancy. What a way to spend a day off of work. I can already feel the spidey-senses heightening. My nose was already sensitive and now I can say that even sometimes my own BO makes me want to pass out with my newly heightened sense of smell. Hehe. Knock-on-wood I have not had to deal with "morning sickness" just a tiny bit of nausea here and there. Mostly I have been craving Mexican style foods: Anita's Breakfast Burritos (especially the salsa), Guacamole, On the Borders Tortilla Soup, Quesadillas and so forth. And I definitely get hungry more often than before. Christmas will be spent with my parents, grandmother, and the Roots. So the house will be packed but should prove to be quite entertaining with a little kid in the mix. Plus my Aunt wants to get her revenge for the time I called her at (I think it was) 6AM one year to open gifts. We will be over their on Christmas Eve to assist with the luminaries; A long standing Fetske Family tradition. This will be followed by perusing the streets to look at other people's decorations and lights. So Merry 'Giftmas' Christmas!
