Kids today, kicking their parents, what a world......

I felt the baby kick for the first time today! Ginger has been feeling it on occasion for a while now (though it's only recently she has started to be sure it's kicking), and today we were sitting on the couch while she was on the phone, and she suddenly grabbed my hand and put it on her belly, a second later I felt a little "thump". Later on we were watching Hook (which I had never seen for some reason), and there was a scene with Robin Williams remembering his babies birth. Someone hands him the new baby wrapped in a blanket and says "You're a daddy now" and suddenly it hit me that in about five months that is going to be me, I'll be the daddy. Someday soon this news will sink in...

How Bizarre and yet . . .

Wonderful all at the same time. My Aunt just called me up tonight to tell me - she is pregnant!!! (apx one month behind me). In other news . . . Valentine's Day is drawing nearer, what did you get your significant other to let them know that they are loved. Is this the one day out of the year that you splurge for them? Is this the one day out of the year that you go the extra mile and actually send them an e-valentine? Or are you one of those that doesn't sucumb to the pressures of the Card, Candy, and Flower industries (on the one day a year that they charge out the wazzoo)? If you are me . . . you would like to be the third option but generally you are a wuss and sucumb. Buying something and feeling torn because you weren't strong enough to hold out. I would like to be someone who picks a random day (not 2.14) to invest a little added effort into the man I love. Well I guess that really isn't news, but opinnion.
